Michael Hoeweler (b. 1988) was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. After developing a flair for drawing and painting at the School for Creative and Performing Arts, he attained his Bachelor’s degree studying illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Michael spent the following decade living in New York City, where he established his studio practice. He currently spends his days in Bloomfield, New Jersey with his partner Billy.

Michael is also a neophyte gardener, a recent cancer survivor, and loves seeing live music with friends.

Michael’s work has been honored by American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Publication Designers, and The Society for News Design.
