Michael Hoeweler is a New York-based lifestyle illustrator specializing in vibrant, realistic portraits made for editorial, publishing, advertising, and corporate clients.

Michael Hoeweler (b. 1988) was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. After developing a flair for drawing and painting at the School for Creative and Performing Arts, he attained his Bachelor’s degree studying illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Michael spent the following decade living in New York City, where he established his studio practice. He currently spends his days in Bloomfield, New Jersey with his partner Billy and their two cats.

Michael is also a gardener, a cancer survivor, and loves a good hike.

Michael’s work has been honored by American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, The Society for News Design, and The Society of Publication Designers.
